Bidding ended. Lot is unsold.
This piece was made
from an ash branch that fell in the garden and is an exercise in breathing
life into an object that could so easily be seen as dead and not worth the
effort of saving.
Constrained by the
physical dimensions of the source material, it is intentionally delicately
balanced and top-heavy, symbolising the fragile yet palpable grasp on life that
nature can often display.
