From Advanced Amber Kretaceous Zoologia archive, this incredible dinosaur in burmite amber offers everything: skin, meat, blood, eyes and what every paleontologist is hungry for these days, bones. The thick powerful forearms appear to be connected to a flying or gliding membrane. The entire animal is very complete and as is common in amber many of its bones have dissolved, the remaining bones are those of the arms, hands, legs, tail and feet as well as other bones. The front arms and hands look similar to those of a lizard but if you look carefully the short thin legs with raptor like toes are more reminiscent of a true dinosaur than a common lizard. The long mouth of this animal also appears more like a dinosaur than a lizard and there are no lizard scales on this animal which further confirms that it is indeed a true dinosaur in amber from 99 million years ago.
