Misti: The Untold Secret

An untold secret is a lumpen thing: it weighs you down, while simultaneously putting you off balance and straining for release at the weak points in the envelope of your existence.

This piece was made from a rock found in a hedge in Northamptonshire.  It was cracked and dirty and grey in colour but as I worked it and polished away at it for what seemed like weeks and weeks, the true beauty of this remarkable stone emerged, making it one of the most satisfying pieces I have ever made.
