This design no. 2286 was the earliest registered and patented at the Public Records office by the Coalbrookdale foundry, Telford, Shropshire on 12th November 1842

Condition: This is a rare pattern one of the earliest by Coalbrookdale. Originally it would have had a cast iron seat, which has gone and been replaced some time ago by a wrought iron seat (which is a more suitable material anyway) Other than that it is in good condition.
